National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA)
Oklahoma Christian University has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA). SARA is an agreement among member states, districts and territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate postsecondary distance education and allows reciprocity facilitating the enrollment of students in online courses offered by SARA member institutions. Per the U.S. Department of Education regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) (https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-34/subtitle-B/chapter-VI/part-668/subpart-D/section-668.43) Oklahoma Christian University must disclose whether the educational requirements of programs which customarily lead to licensure either: Meet Licensure Requirements, Do Not Meet Licensure Requirements, or Have Not Been Determined to Meet Licensure Requirements for each state and designated territories. This disclosure is required for all programs that lead to professional licensure or certification, regardless of instructional modality, but does not include additional licensure or certification requirements in individual states or territories beyond education. The information below reflects, to the best of our knowledge, accurate information about each of these programs.

We encourage students who intend to pursue licensure or certification outside of Oklahoma to determine if there are additional requirements beyond degree completion by contacting the relevant state's licensing/certification body directly. NC-SARA maintains a Professional Licensure Directory (https://www.nc-sara.org/resources/professional-licensure) for the five degree programs with the most enrollments per data reported by participating institutions. These programs are: Counseling, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, and Teacher Education. This resource does not house regulations or requirements; it is exclusively general contact information.
Complaint Process / Student Complaint Policy
The Student Complaint System, accessible through the campus intranet, provides a single online portal for all types of student complaints. Students select one of four complaint categories, (Title IX, Academic Appeals, Student Life, and Campus Police) and then complete the online form related to that category. Once completed and submitted, the form is automatically routed to the appropriate university employee (e.g., the Title IX coordinator, FERPA officer, Dean of Students, or Campus Police department), who has a specified period of time to respond. Upon clicking the “submit” button, students receive an automated email confirming the submission and providing information about the expected response time. The responsible employee also receives an email notifying him or her of the complaint and reminder emails if the complaint is not resolved within the specified time frame. All responses to the complaint and the complaint resolution are documented in the system, which provides a log of all complaints submitted as well as information about the response time for various areas.
