“The Church of Christ faith community has contributed greatly to the success of Oklahoma Christian University, and that heritage is foundational to everything we do,” said Oklahoma Christian University President Dr. Ken Jones. “This program is one way we can pay homage to that legacy and support church growth. We also remain focused on our role as a ‘Kingdom University’ recruiting and serving students from all faith backgrounds. We will continue to seek innovative ways to create an enduring path for Christian higher education.”

Since its founding, Oklahoma Christian University has enjoyed deep ties to the Churches of Christ. Oklahoma Christian University Associate Director of Church Relations Rick Odell will work closely with Churches of Christ globally to reach potential students and their families. Active membership with any Church of Christ, no matter the congregation size, qualifies students for the program.

“As we continue to invest in opportunities that will expand the reach and impact of our higher education programs, this announcement will open the door for students who may have otherwise not had access to attend Oklahoma Christian,” Odell said. “We’re grateful to honor OC’s strong relationship with Churches of Christ through this initiative. With this program, potential students from Churches of Christ will be afforded an exceptional opportunity to further foster connections to faith communities while pursuing their educational and professional goals.”
