Very Special Eagles Gathered for the 3rd Annual OC Remembers

We said farewell to a number of our community in the past academic year. Dec. 8 we gathered to honor them at OC Remembers. An intimate group of family members and close friends attended the annual ceremony recognizing the contributions of alumni, faculty, staff and trustees who have gone before us. Each family had the opportunity to display memorabilia in the McIntosh Conservatory before a service that included the naming of each loved one and a presentation of a rose. We honor those who have taught us much and rest in the promise of seeing them again.

President deSteiguer led our broad campus family at the OC Remembers ceremony and event for those who have passed away October 2018 - Oct 2019. A family reception preceded the memorial service in the conservatory. Then, family and friends gathered in Baugh Auditorium for the ceremony. Those remembered included alumni, students, past or present employees or spouses and Board of Trustees or spouses. About 400 people gathered to say farewell to 59 individuals with 27 families represented in attendance.

The program included performances by the Chorale and special recognition of each Eagle preceding us to heaven.
