OC nursing adjuncts named among the 2023 Great 100 Nurses of Oklahoma

Based on their concern for humanity, dedication to the nursing profession and their mentoring of others, Michele Bradshaw and April Shearing, two of OC’s nursing adjuncts, were named among the 2023 Great 100 Nurses of Oklahoma during an annual celebration Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Several nominations for this prestigious honor are submitted each year; but, only 100 nurses are selected by their peers to be recognized for their innovativeness, character and dedication to the art of professional and compassionate nursing. Commended by the Great 100 Nurses Foundation for their commitment to excellence within the nursing profession, Bradshaw and Shearing work full-time while still managing to teach in OC's work-based nursing program.

The Great 100 Nurses Foundation, established in Louisiana 37 years ago, has since recognized and celebrated thousands of Registered Nurses in Louisiana, North Carolina, Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Nomination for this prestigious award of distinction “is a great honor in the life of a Nurse.”
