Don Leftwich served as chair of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science from 1992 until 2018. In 2009 he served as president of the Oklahoma Christian Faculty Association. He served as the Oklahoma-Arkansas section chair of the Mathematical Association of America in 2001. He is interested in statistics of aviation and spent 15 years working on a project to model roofs using aerial photography. He is married to Janie, has three children, and four granddaughters. Mr. Leftwich is a deacon at Memorial Road Church of Christ, where he is also the ministry director for Leadership Training for Christ.
