Bill Goad Ed.D.

Professor of Business

Bill Goad has dedicated his professional career to OC and her students serving in many different administrative and faculty roles. He is excited to return to teaching full time because of the interaction with students in the College of Business where he serves as faculty advisor for the Student Investment Fund and teaches finance and business classes.

His administrative service at OC included 8 years as Executive Vice President (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He has also served as Chief Analytics Officer. From 2002 to 2009 he served as Provost and President of Cascade College. Goad also served for five years as OC’s Chief Information Officer (CIO). As CIO he led the development of the technical, financial, and management plans for the mobile eCampus program that positioned OC as a world-class innovator in the use of educational technology.

Prior to becoming an administrator, Goad served OC students for 15 years as a professor of business, teaching classes in information systems, management, finance, accounting and business ethics. He was selected for the Employee of the Year Award at OC in 1998, Faculty Leadership Award in 1997, and the Merrick Teaching Award in 1996 and 1983.

A 1979 OC alumnus, Goad is married to OC alumna, Dr. Rita Goad. Bill and Rita have 4 children. Bill has been preaching since age 16, served as a church deacon, led several summer missions groups to Europe, and sponsored OC’s Vienna Studies program.

He enjoys time on the golf course...a highlight was watching the Eagles golf team capture the 2011 NAIA national tournament title! He is also a life-long St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

Goad continues to serve at OC because he believes in the important task of “passing the baton of faithfulness to the next generation of culture shaping leaders.”
