Alumni Update - Philip Deal

Philip Deal

Philip Deal ('11, MSE '12) will be a speaker at the ECHO International Agriculture Conference in November. Deal is currently the Director of Programs at Water4. Deal has worked in the rural water sector for over 10 years, supporting projects across sub-Saharan Africa. His early years were spent with local WASH programs in Oklahoma City, such as Wishing Well and Rwandans4water. In 2015, Philip began partnering with Water4 through the University of Oklahoma to evaluate a private water utility in Ghana. Over the next several years, he was able to track the early success of what is now a business serving about 140 rural communities. The business, 4Ward Development, aims to provide safe, reliable water at the home of over 600,000 customers by 2026! His passion is to see this company thrive and mature over the coming years in the countries of Ghana, Zambia, Sierra Leone, and Uganda. If you want to know more, head to Scissortail Park on Saturday, September 30, at 8:30 am for the annual Walk4Water4 right here in Oklahoma City.

Way to go, Philip! We are so proud of you and all that you are doing to serve others.
