Alumni Update - Angel Holland

Dr. Angel (English '97) Holland assumed the position of the Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy and Director of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Health Professions effective August 1, 2023. She joined the UAMS faculty in June of 2014. She was highly involved in the development of the program to include a unique systems-based, flipped classroom curriculum and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. Dr. Holland has been a physical therapist for 23 years holding a certification by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as a geriatric clinical specialist and the American Physical Therapy Association as a credentialed clinical instructor. She has 12 peer-reviewed publications in professional journals, 22 peer-reviewed scientific and professional presentations, 3 funded grant projects as primary investigator, and 3 grant projects as co-investigator or site coordinator.
