Alumni Update - Alan Cook

Voters on 8.4.20 in Newton County, Missouri tabbed incumbent, Alan Cook ('83), to fill a county commission seat.

In the District 1 commission seat race, incumbent Alan Cook, received 2,593 votes, or 65%. Cook, who has served on the commission for two terms starting in 2012, defeated challenger Rich Matters, who received 1,377 votes, or 34%.

Cook has served on the commission for two terms starting in 2012. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science from Oklahoma Christian University and has worked as a cattle farmer and in computer technology, business management, and human resources.
