Test Optional Policy

High school students applying to Oklahoma Christian University for on-campus undergraduate admission are not required to submit an ACT, CLT or SAT score for admission. However, we still recommend you submit a score as soon as you’re able. This allows us to provide the best possible financial aid package for you and your family!

Students unable to submit scores will be considered for admission at no penalty to the student. Some students may be required to take placement exams to determine if academic support services are needed.

FAQs

How will OC know I’m not submitting my test scores?

Students select test-optional consideration on their application. If selected their application will be reviewed and processed without scores. However, we do encourage students to submit a score to receive best-fit financial aid.

What about scholarships?

There are scholarships available for students that choose not to submit a test score. However, consideration for most university academic scholarships requires an official test score from ACT, CLT or SAT. We encourage students to provide us with test scores as soon as they are available for complete scholarship consideration.

Could score submission negatively affect my scholarships?

Nope! Students will be considered for a number of scholarships that do not require test scores. However, submitting a test score will qualify you for consideration for additional scholarships.

Will a higher test score put my application at an advantage?

No. Scores will serve as one portion of the application, but acceptance is not solely based on test scores.

Can I get into the Honors Program without a test score?

Test scores are still required for Honors Program acceptance. You can find more information here!
