Earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) online with flexible courses, expert faculty, and a curriculum designed to fast-track your nursing career.
No Prior College is Required
This track does not require applicants to have prior college or a bachelor's degree. OC is transfer-friendly and will work with applicants to transfer eligible credits.
Clinicals in the OKC Metro
All clinical sessions are conveniently located within the Oklahoma City metro area. Chickasaw Nation Medical Center employees take clinicals at their job site in Ada, OK.
Work Requirement
This track requires students to work in a health care setting once all prerequisites have been completed and classes have begun in the School of Nursing. This allows students to gain practical experience as they earn their BSN.
Health Care Partnerships
OC has partnered with INTEGRIS, Mercy and Chickasaw Nation, providing unique benefits for employees of these organizations to advance their careers in nursing. While employment with these partners is not required, you must be working in a health care setting when you start in the School of Nursing.
Accreditation
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Oklahoma Christian University is accredited by the Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The CCNE is an autonomous accrediting agency that ensures the quality of nursing programs.
Flexibility Meets Opportunity
Earn Your BSN Online
While online coursework sounds like an easier path to success, the work requirement combined with the BSN coursework and clinicals can be challenging. However, solid time management and commitment to earning your BSN will be the key to achieving your career goals.
The online track flows in seven-week terms. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing requires 61 hours of nursing courses and eight clinical sessions, plus 62 hours of prerequisites. All required prerequisites may be taken online as well.
Graduates of the BSN program are qualified to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN®). Licensing eligibility and requirements are determined by each state's board of nursing.
