Students Honored at National Conventions
OC students were recognized for excellence by two national organizations earlier this year.
Senior Kaley White’s paper about Holocaust literature received the Best Presentation Award in World Literature at the national convention for Alpha Chi in Baltimore, Md. There were 230 student presenters at this year’s convention.
OC’s chapter won three awards at the American Marketing Association’s Intercollegiate Conference in New Orleans. The chapter placed in the Chapter Planning and Chapter Communication categories, and also was honored for promoting AMA’s Organ Donation Saves Lives campaign.
Kerianne (Thomas 91) Roper, professor of marketing, attended the conference with students Randy Head, Jamie Rogers, Adam Sisk and Justin Thompson.
