OC presents alumni with achievement awards
OC’s five academic colleges and Honors Program recognized outstanding alumni during our annual Homecoming festivities.
The College of Biblical Studies named Ronnie White as its distinguished alumnus in preaching and ministry, Ken Hysten as its distinguished alumnus in missions, and Dave Blanchard as its distinguished alumnus in youth and ministry. Ron Bruner was honored with the Adam Langford Christian Service Award.
The College of Business Administration honored David Shupe as outstanding alumnus from OC’s Graduate School of Business, Kim Spencer from the Department of Management and Marketing, and Kari Boyd from the Department of Accounting and Finance.
OC’s College of Engineering and Computer Science recognized Ryan Jones from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Tim Priebe from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and Bill Hall from the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The College of Natural and Health Sciences honored Jeanie Tryggestad from the Department of Biological Sciences, Steve Brookman from the Department of Chemistry and Physics, and Rebecca Mitchell from the School of Nursing.
OC’s College of Liberal Arts honored eight graduates: Dr. Tommy W. Stringer (History and Political Science), Dr. April Stephens Sholty (Music), Samantha Marshall (Education), Dr. Paul House (Sports, Wellness and Recreation Management), Dr. James Hallmark (Communication), Jacqueline Johnson (Art and Design), Dr. Kristina Riggs Booker (Language and Literature), and Dr. Holly Osburn (Psychology and Family Studies).
The Honors Program recognized Michael O’Neal, who graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in liberal arts.
