OC partners with King for church resourcing, service
Dr. Grady King’s heart for churches and his alma mater led him to a new role as a consultant helping OC serve churches.
King (77) is vice president of HOPE Network, a group of ministers that mentors leaders and churches.
The Oklahoma Christian graduate served in full-time preaching ministry from 1984 until his recent retirement from Mansfield Church of Christ in Texas.
He is building on OC’s longtime work with churches to serve as a facilitator, visionary, and counselor to ministers, elders, and congregations.
He hosted 75 ministers for the new kerygma preaching conference in March, coordinates on- and off-campus luncheons for church leaders, and will lead OC’s Bible Lectures in October.
“Healthy leaders and healthy churches are what I am all about,” King said. “It begins with listening and engaging church leaders in conversations that matter. After 40 years of congregational ministry, I deeply value being a friend to church leaders in practical and hopeful ways.”
