OC Hosts National Art & Design Contest
Students from 98 high schools and universities around the nation competed in the 25th Brass Ring Awards Art and Design Student Competition at Oklahoma Christian in March.
Oklahoma Christian had 53 students place, followed by Oklahoma State University with 49 and the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology with 46.
Award-winning professional designers and artists judged all 2,050 entries by 795 students. The competition began in 1985 with 85 entries from seven universities.
“This competition continues to grow,” OC associate professor of art and design Jeff Price said. “With participation by schools such as the University of Arizona and Temple University, students compete against the best student designers in the nation.”
