OC and Tealridge Celebrate 22 Years
Tealridge Retirement Community in Edmond, owned by Oklahoma Christian, celebrated its 22nd anniversary in June. The event honored the founders of Tealridge, known as the Breakfast Club, who developed the plan for the retirement community over breakfast on Saturdays.
Harry Patterson, Jr. (67), a member of OC’s Board of Trustees, honored his late father, one of the original Breakfast Club members, with a gift to Tealridge and a bust of his dad. OC Life Trustee Joe Dodson and Wilma McDonald, a charter member still residing at Tealridge, also were honored.
Tealridge residents work out for free in OC’s fitness center, enjoy plays, concerts, musicals and special guest speakers on campus, attend basketball and baseball games and even take undergraduate classes.
