King of Jordan Speaks at Four Star Debate
King Abdullah II from the nation of Jordan spoke to gifted high school students at Four Star Debate, hosted by OC’s Academy of Leadership & Liberty.
The event, also sponsored by the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum and the National Center for Policy Analysis, develops the leadership skills of America’s finest student leaders while giving them a platform to share their views of major public issues. Students present their ideas in a nationally-televised debate on OC’s campus.
The king spoke during a trip to Hobart, Oklahoma, to tour the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum and the Kiowa County Historical Museum.
OC president Dr. Mike O’Neal described the visit with King Abdullah II of Jordan “an experience these 48 students will never forget. Such encounters with people who come from a different culture and perspective are a critical element of what we try to do with our Academy of Leadership & Liberty programs.”
