Incoming Class Rich with Scholar Honors

Eleven National Merit Finalists are among OC’s incoming class for 2011-12, setting a school record. Nineteen returning students also earned that distinction, giving Oklahoma Christian 30 National Merit Finalists on campus.

National Merit Finalists receive full tuition, mandatory fees, room and board at Oklahoma Christian. This year is OC’s seventh straight with an enrollment of more than 2,000 students.

In addition, Courtney Saffell, a freshman from Fort Worth Christian School, received scholar recognition in the Gates Millennial Scholarship Program. This is a first for an incoming OC student.

The Honors Program provides recipients with leadership training, mentoring, and academic and social support as well as financial support.
