Alum Returns to Campus for Policy Lecture
OC hosted Ted McAllister (83), who holds the Edward L. Gaylord Chair of Public Policy at Pepperdine University, for a lecture on “Social Justice and the Crisis of American Public Policy.”
He also spoke at two OC classes, “Contemporary Political Ideologies” and “History of American Political Thought.”
McAllister graduated from OC with a degree in history and minors in political science and English. His works include “Revolt Against Modernity: Leo Strauss, Eric Voegelin, and the Search for a Postliberal Order” and “Why Place Matters: Geography, Identity, and Civic Life in Modern America.”
