I heard an old, old story,
How a Savior came from glory,
How He gave his life on Calvary
To save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning,
Of His precious blood’s atoning,
Then I repented of my sins
And won the victory.
I heard about His healing,
Of His cleansing pow’r revealing,
How He made the lame to walk again
And caused the blind to see;
And then, I cried, “Dear Jesus,
Come and heal my broken spirit,”
I then obeyed His blest commands
And gained the victory.
I heard about a mansion
He has built for me in glory,
And I heard about the streets of gold
Beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing,
And the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I’ll sing up there
The song of victory.
Oh, victory in Jesus, my Savior, forever,
He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory, beneath the cleansing flood.

Thank you this is excellent. First class. I lost my hymnals, also some songs my deceased mother used to sing and I do not know the tempo nor the full wording. But here we are. Thank you and Heaven Bless You All.

What a wonderful ministry this is! The songs are sung at a pace that every word can be heard by “old” ears and received with spirit and understanding. The words are there to deepen the understanding of the wonderful songs of praise. My nephew subscribes to “Power For Today” for his friends, and has been looking for a place to refer them so they can hear and see the words to the hymns that accompany the daily reading. I can’t wait to refer him to your website. I love the story of how you came to be, and I pray that the blessings you receive from it are even half of the blessing you are to people like me!
