Peace, Perfect Peace

Date recorded: February 11, 2011

Words by: Edward H. Bickersteth

Music by: George T. Caldbeck

Peace, perfect peace, in this dark world of sin:
The blood of Jesus whispers peace within.

Peace, perfect peace, by thronging duties pressed:
To do the will of Jesus this is rest.

Peace, perfect peace, with sorrows surging round:
On Jesus’ bosom naught but calm is found.

Peace, perfect peace, with loved ones far away:
In Jesus’ keeping we are safe, and they.

Peace, perfect peace, our future all unknown:
Jesus we know, and He is on the throne.

It is enough; earth’s struggles soon shall cease,
And Jesus call us to heaven’s perfect peace.

You site has been a blessing to me and to others isolated in China without a congregation near them. Could you record and add to your site O Thou Fount of Every Blessing ? With love and gratitude, Ken

What a blessing to listen to these sweet voices sing the old songs and worship our Lord. I almost feel I have been transported back to the Trail Lake Church of Christ and my childhood. I can see my mother and feel her love for me and for God. Thank you so much and thanksa to my cousin who shares these songs on facebook. Please, continue with this mission and message. God bless you and these precious young people.
