Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.
Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be
Which inspire your heavenly song?
Come to Bethlehem and see
Him whose birth the angels sing.
Come adore on bended knee
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.
Gloria in excelsis Deo,
Gloria in excelsis Deo.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!! I cannot tell you how ecstatic I was when I found this site. Listening to these recordings brought goosesbumps to my skin and tears of joy to my eyes. Though I am only 35, I miss the old hymns with a longing that cannot be adequately described. Please NEVER take down this page. Sadly the rifts between popular culture and churches have made it sooo difficult to find a congregation that still sings in a capella, much less one as gifted as a good old CofC. Your site is the only way I get the chance to hear the truly beautiful harmony of faithful thanks giving. I am truly grateful. Brad
