Sheldon is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian and earned a Master's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. Sheldon left private practice in the fall of 2010 to return to his alma mater to serve the student body and greater campus community. Sheldon works primarily from cognitive-behavioral theory, although he does draw from other theories as well. Sheldon has been married to his wife, Christi, for 20 years and they have two sons, Daniel, 16 and Cole, 13. They enjoy baseball and serving each summer in Catacamas, Honduras with Mission Predisan.

Brenda Gunter, MMFT, LPC
Counseling Center Staff Counselor
Brenda Gunter, MMFT, LPC is a graduate of Abilene Christian University's AAMFT (American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy) approved master of Marriage and Family Therapy program. She received her BA in Psychology from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. Brenda is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma. She has worked for several years in private non-profit agencies, as well as doing contract counseling with schools for several years. However, 8 years ago she joined the OC family and has since discovered her love for working with college students. Brenda enjoys working with family and relationship issues, grief, anxiety, depression and working with couples. Also, she has an interest in trauma and has specialized training in EMDR therapy, that is specifically geared toward PTSD and many types of psychological stress. Brenda and her husband Bobby have been married for 16 years. They enjoy spending time together, watching movies and enjoying family and their 2 dogs, Savanna and Sabrina,
Administrative Assistant for the Counseling Center
Rachelle Goodin has been on staff with the Oklahoma Christian Counseling Center since February 2016. She is also a graduate of OC and a former Lady Eagle basketball player.
Her previous experience has given her a passion for working with individuals and families to help guide them on the path to a happy, fulfilling God-centered life. Rachelle considers it an honor to have the opportunity to interact with OC students, families and faculty on a daily basis.
She, and her husband Jim, have six amazing children. Haley, the oldest, attends OC and is majoring in Nursing. Jonathan, Jackson, Hunter, Abigail and Madelynn, hopefully, will be attending OC in the very near future. In her free time, Rachelle enjoys volunteering at her church and in the community, reading, walking the family's two dogs or trying a new local restaurant.
