It helps you select a university that meets or exceeds minimum standards of quality, makes you eligible for federal financial aid, allows credits to transfer should you need to change schools, allows you to sit for licensing exams and helps you get into graduate schools. Accreditation helps employers know they are hiring from institutions of quality.
