70 Years of Building up Local Churches

Since the founding of Oklahoma Christian College in 1950, OC has served as a conduit to feed the church college graduates seated firmly in their faith. These graduates have become deacons, preachers, Bible study leaders, elders, children's teachers, missionaries, church planters, givers and encouragers in churches throughout the world. OC alumni are individuals who have studied scripture, participated in evangelism and practiced Christ-like leadership. The university considers these thousands to be our greatest contribution to the kingdom.

OC has reached beyond students and our college campus to help equip the church through spiritual growth, teaching and inspiration. The first OC Lectureship in 1951, focused on the topic of New Testament Faith. Teachers and leaders of this Lectureship included giants of the faith such as Raymond Kelcy, Ted Norton, Homer Hailey, Norvel Young, Jack Meyer, J.B. Kinney, Ernest Highers, L.L. Gieger, Charles Tinius and Chester Grimes.

Director of Church Resources Grady King delivers training, conferences and workshops designed for church leaders.

The rich legacy of coming alongside the church to share in God's mission and the ministry of Jesus continues through the College of Biblical Studies, the Graduate School of Theology, the publication of Dialogismos and active and vibrant Church Resources efforts.

The College of Biblical Studies outlined the historical highlights of church resources offered through OC. The work continues until we all meet in heaven!
