Oklahoma Christian University Soars Through OKC Memorial Marathon Events

On April 23 and 24, around 9,000 people from around the world (47 states and 11 countries) came to Oklahoma City to run in the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. 400 of them ran as part of Team OC.

This year, Team OC ran together to honor the late Darci Thompson, the woman who breathed Team OC into existence years ago. While we are filled with a bit of exhaustion after the race, we are energized, fueled by the love of our collective team and the reason for which we ran. We look back on this year with fondness and onto the next with anticipation as Darci's legacy continues.

As we reflect on the success of this year, we want to highlight several OC alumni, faculty, staff and community members who soared across the finish line seemingly with ease (though they may argue otherwise). Congratulations to our Eagles who ranked high in the following categories!

Congratulations to all of our soaring Eagles! We know that often the goal isn't to place, but it's fun when it happens! Whether you were looking to PR or just get out into the city and enjoy the atmosphere, we're proud of our team. Way to represent #TeamDarci and #TeamOC. Let's do this again next year, April 28-30, 2023!
