Free concert open to the public will feature renowned Christian singer-songwriter
Oklahoma Christian University (OC) will host a public concert on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Thelma Gaylord Forum on campus, featuring renowned Christian singer-songwriter Brandon Heath. Admission is free for students and community members.
With eight studio albums and multiple GMA Dove Awards, Heath is best known for his No. 1 singles “Give Me Your Eyes” and “I’m Not Who I Was.” His latest album, The Ache, explores his journey through grief, pain and struggle, showing how hope and healing can emerge in the midst of difficulty. Powered by his testimony and perseverance, Heath’s music tells the story of a faithful Christian believer.
“We are thrilled to host Brandon Heath at OC,” said Chris Young, senior vice president for advancement and athletics. “His performance reflects our commitment to fostering Kingdom Culture among students. We are excited to invite the broader community to experience Brandon’s music and testimony.”
OC has previously welcomed Dallas Jenkins, creator of The Chosen, as part of its McBride Lecture Series, and has hosted a variety of respected Christian authors, performers and speakers through its faith‑based programming.
“Music has always been a meaningful way for me to share my faith and the ways God has transformed my life,” said Brandon Heath. “I look forward to worshiping alongside the OC students and the community and sharing that experience together.”
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early. Food trucks will be on site, offering a variety of desserts and other refreshments for purchase.
The concert is free, but spaces are limited, so plan accordingly. To learn more about Brandon Heath’s concert on April 12, visit oc.edu/events.
