Oklahoma Christian University School of Education Earns Top Spot in State with 100% Certification Pass Rate
The School of Education at Oklahoma Christian University (OC) has earned the top spot in Oklahoma for teacher certification exam pass rates, with 100% of its students passing the Certification Examinations for Oklahoma Educators (CEOE) required for licensure.
According to the latest data from the Office of Educational Quality and Accountability (OEQA), all 24 Oklahoma Christian students who took the CEOE in 2025 passed, placing the university at the top among teacher preparation programs in the state.
"We are so proud of our students. A 100% pass rate is a testament to their hard work and the strength of our program," said Dr. Allison H. Cassady, chair of OC’s School of Education. "Our dedicated faculty and thoughtful academic framework are designed to produce the most prepared educators in the field, and this result confirms we are doing exactly that."
OC’s achievement comes at a time when the need for certified teachers remains significant across Oklahoma, with approximately 6,000 teaching positions open annually across Oklahoma.
