Oklahoma Christian University (OC) announced its annual Associates Gala will take place on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. The gala will bring together OC’s valued supporters and will feature guest speaker Patty Gasso, head coach of the University of Oklahoma’s legendary softball program and USA Softball Women’s National Team head coach for the 2028 Olympic games.

The Associates Gala is a treasured tradition at OC, celebrating the generosity and dedication of the university’s Associates, whose support strengthens its mission of academic excellence, Christian values and unity as a “Kingdom University.” This year’s theme centers on “shining a light” in the world.

Gasso, an eight-time national championship coach and one of the most respected figures in collegiate athletics, will share insights from her distinguished career and how sharing her faith has shaped her path.

“Each year, OC’s Associates Gala allows us to reflect on and celebrate the impact of our OC community,” OC President Dr. Ken Jones said. “We are honored to welcome Coach Gasso as our speaker and look forward to hearing about her incredible journey of leadership, perseverance and faith.”

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my story with Oklahoma Christian University,” Gasso said. “Walking in faith and sharing God’s love with others have always been central aspects of my professional and personal journey. OC’s commitment to being a light to others is truly making a difference.”

The Associates Gala is an invitation-only event for OC Associates, whose support plays an essential role in advancing the university. Dedicated alumni and friends are invited to partner with OC in providing an exceptional educational experience that empowers students to realize their fullest potential.
