OC to host AI expert Hart Brown for Millican Ethics Symposium

Hart Brown

Oklahoma Christian University (OC) will host AI expert and Future Point of View CEO Hart Brown on Oct. 3 as a keynote speaker for the university’s J.J. Millican Ethics Symposium. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Judd Theater on OC’s campus.

“We are pleased to welcome Hart Brown to our campus to discuss a topic that’s increasingly prominent in our world today — artificial intelligence and the ethics surrounding it,” OC Provost Dr. Brian Starr said. “As a Christian university, we are particularly interested in fostering a meaningful discussion on how to approach this new technology with understanding and integrity. We are looking forward to Hart’s insights.”

During his talk, Brown will explore the rise of AI and the critical role ethics play in its development and implementation. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, where students and community members are encouraged to bring their questions.

“The expanding influence of AI across multiple fields poses important considerations for both the academic world and the public at large.” Brown said. “Oklahoma Christian University has long been a place where meaningful discussions happen, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share valuable insights about AI and how best to approach it ethically.”

As an author, technologist, futurist, executive, and trusted advisor to some of the world’s largest companies, Brown is known for his dynamic presentations, which include live demonstrations and audience participation. OC is proud to provide opportunities for students and community members to connect with renowned speakers and professionals about topics that matter to them.
