OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 18, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian midfielder Domenico DeGrazia was named Wednesday as the Heartland Conference’s men’s soccer offensive player of the week.
DeGrazia, a junior from Caracas, Venezuela, had two goals and an assist in the Eagles’ 6-0 win on Saturday at Central Christian (Kan.).
In a game Tuesday night at No. 9 Northeastern State, DeGrazia assisted on OC's first goal, which gave the Eagles a brief lead before they eventually lost 7-2. OC was the first team this season to score at least two goals against Northeastern, a Division II quarterfinalist last season.
DeGrazia leads the conference so far this season in goals (five) and points (12). He won a weekly player-of-the-week honor for the third time in his career, having received one from the Sooner Athletic Conference as a freshman and another from the Heartland Conference as a sophomore.
