OC Track & Field Alumna Earns First Place Female Finisher at Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon

Layne Hammer ('17) earned first place among the women running the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon - and it was a suspenseful race.

Cruising past two other runners, Layne pulled out a well-earned win during the October 3 marathon. Learn more about the epic race to the finish on KFOR.

Layne is a former OC track and field standout who holds multiple university records, and she can now add a marathon win with a time of 2:54:34 to her list.
