Dr. Whaley is a registered professional engineer in the state of Oklahoma and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. His professional interests include structural fatigue and fracture, mechatronics, vibration, and dynamic system and controls. Dr. Whaley works at OC “to change the world one engineering student at a time.” He is a retired Colonel, United States Air Force Reserve and has volunteered as a judge for Odyssey of the Mind for the past 20 years. He is restoring a 1962 Chevrolet Belair and enjoys tinkering with his restored 1930 Model A Ford. He attends Memorial Road Church of Christ where he is an adult Bible class teacher.
