Dr. Nic Grounds received his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma in 2005, a Master's in Computer Science from OU in 2008 and earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from OU in 2018. He has worked full time as a software engineer for MSCI Inc since 2005, currently as a software architect leading a small team of developers and working toward migration to the cloud of multi-million lines of code applications. Since 2010, Dr. Grounds has served as an adjunct faculty member at both the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma Christian University teaching CS classes ranging from introductory programming for non-CS majors through graduate-level software engineering courses.
Dr. Grounds is an avid volunteer at Memorial Road Church of Christ where he and his family attend services. He has two children with whom he enjoys board games, movies and outdoor adventuring!
