James Crowder Ph.D.

Dr. Crowder began serving as an adjunct professor for the department in 2014 where he specializes in American political institutions and history. During his 40-year career with the US Air Force, Crowder authored numerous annual histories, articles, pamphlets and books on aviation events and personalities in Oklahoma. He is a life member of the US Capitol Historical Society, Oklahoma Historical Society, Edmond Historical Society, University of Texas Ex-Students Association and the University of Oklahoma Alumni Association. He continues to serve as the historian/archivist for the Edmond Church of Christ, Edmond Historic Preservation Trust and Downtown Medicine Mound Preservation Group. For more than 20 years he has been active board member of the Zambia Mission Fund.
