Professor of Management

Don Drew is a professor in the Oklahoma Christian University College of Business. His current research interests are organizational drama and career burnout, social entrepreneurship, and strategic planning and development.

He received his B.A. in 1979 from Oklahoma Christian University, a Master of Human Relations in 1986 from the University of Oklahoma, and a Doctor of Education degree in 2000 from Oklahoma State University, where he completed his dissertation work in expectancy and motivation in complex organizations. He joined OC’s faculty in 2000 as founding director of the Master of Business Administration program. Don received OC's faculty Leadership Award in 2004 and the Merrick Award for Teaching Excellence in 2011, as well as several other external honors and awards. Today he leads our management program.

Prior to entering academia, Don served as Secretariat to the Joint Chiefs of Logistics in Washington, D.C., and as Senior Performance Analyst on the B-2 Stealth Bomber program. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1994. He has consulted for various organizations, including Seagate Technologies, the Oklahoma Governor’s office, the U.S. Air Force, Silver Mountain Ministries, and numerous other for-profit, social entrepreneurial, and non-profit organizations.

Don is married to Christy Vincent, Ph.D., Professor of Organizational Communications at the University of Central Oklahoma. He has two children, Lauren (Drew) Hamblin and Stephen Drew. Lauren, a 2005 graduate of OC, is married to Maj. Josh Hamblin, and has three children: Mason, Emilee, and Jaxon. Stephen graduated from OC in 2009, is married to Taylor, and works in Oklahoma City as a middle school teacher, Athletic Director and coach. They have one child, Gentry. Don is a member of the Dayspring Church of Christ.
