Cybersecurity Degrees

OC offers great options for cybersecurity education. We offer both a Computer Science BS degree with a focus in Cybersecurity and a MS degree in Computer Science with a focus in Cybersecurity. These degrees provide both a strong foundation in Computer Science and prepare students for certifications in Cybersecurity.

OC also provides training in the ethical use of these skills. We are currently pursuing designation as a NSA Center of Academic Excellence for Cyber Defense Education. Any student completing these degrees will be well prepared for a career in Cybersecurity.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Cybersecurity

This is a four-year undergraduate program in Computer Science with Cybersecurity. This course of study includes foundational courses in Computer Science like Object Oriented Programing, Data Structures, Operating Systems and Database Systems. It also so includes Cybersecurity courses like Intro to Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Network Security, Cloud Architecture and Security, and Network Forensics. It includes practical experience and hands on virtual labs for Cybersecurity training. It prepares students for a number of Cybersecurity certifications.

Master of Science in Computer Science with Cybersecurity

This is a one to two year graduate program in Computer Science with Cybersecurity. This course of study includes foundational courses in Computer Science like Algorithm Analysis, Advanced Database, Object Oriented Software Engineering and Technology Ethics. It also so includes Cybersecurity courses like Cloud Architecture and Security, and Network Forensics, Risk Management and Offensive Penetration Testing. It includes practical experience and hands on virtual labs for Cybersecurity training. It prepares students for a number of Cybersecurity certifications.

Curtis Coleman

Director of Cybersecurity

Curtis Coleman has had a distinguished, 20-year career in cybersecurity. For over 15 years, he led the cybersecurity program at Seagate, a large multi-national digital storage manufacturing company. In that role, he directed the efforts to implement cybersecurity policies, practices, and technology to ensure the protection of Seagate’s data and systems. Coleman currently serves on Oracle's Cloud Security Advisory Board and has shared his cybersecurity knowledge by serving on advisory boards for other major corporations including Intel, and Salesforce.
