Leadership in an Anxious World: Anxiety, Depression and the Search for Peace
Our world is more aware of mental health issues than ever before. Teens, you especially find yourself in situations of stress from multiple angles: parents, peers, school, social media. How can you find release from these pressures? How might the gospel of Christ speak into the current complex environment? And what can young Christian leaders do to direct your mission in Christ to address the hurts of others who are anxious and depressed? New students and returning students, join us as we seek to find God’s healing for ourselves and our world!
One foundational course examines the biblical teachings on mental health. The second course develops Christian leadership through mentoring, guest speakers and workshops. Finally, students put faith and leadership in action by implementing projects within home churches and communities.
