Income Inequality: Student Debate In addition to the Millican Ethics Symposium, a student-led debate on Income Inequality will be held Tuesday, October 24 at 4:00 pm in Adams Recital Hall. This debate will explore the effects of capitalism on our society and how we as Christians can respond. Pertinent questions to be debated and discussed are: 1. Is economic inequality in America due more to people's inherent differences or systemic injustice and discrimination? 2. What are Christians called to do in response to economic inequality? 3. To what extent do Christian responses to economic inequality actually do more harm than good? 4. To what extent ought Christians to address systemic dysfunctions that contribute to economic inequality (e.g. cronyism, discrimination)?
