Student Helps Local Church Livestream Services

Oklahoma Christian University junior, Blake Mayfield is one of the 200 members of Seagoville Church of Christ located in Seagoville, Texas. When Covid-19 put an end to local church services Blake helped broadcast church online.

Blake is a media communications major who is adept at technical execution. He works on campus to livestream events, run tech for sporting events and chapel, help with the university web site, and he is the producer for Eagle Angle and The Verdict broadcasts.

"The first week's service was put together with equipment that I had on hand," said Blake. "Since then we have made improvements in both the quality of the livestream and accessibility for our members."

The church's livestream is now available on their web site, Facebook page and YouTube channel. People can attend the virtual service using the platform they are most comfortable with.

Now, members who were unable to attend service even before the coronavirus pandemic can enjoy church online!
