Alumni Update - Ricky Gootam
Ricky Gootam ('02) preaches on four national television channels with over one million viewers every week.
He is also a member of the Board of Directors for Trinity Cancer Hospital in Kakinada, India. The hospital has helped 12,000 people in the last three years and has conducted over 60 medical mission camps in rural Indian villages.
Through his work with the Satyavani Church of Christ, Ricky has also helped with efforts to dig over 20 water wells in interior villages without water, worked with two leper colonies, helped open five coffee shops so that local villagers can sustain their livelihood and live from the income, and helped with the empowerment skills of women by providing them with stitching/sewing machines in local village churches in India.
Ricky has also organized Leadership camps and meetings with over 2,000 young men and women to guide them in becoming leaders in four different areas in three different languages.
He is passionate about helping village churches in India achieve self-sustainability. Thank you for all of the important work you are doing, Ricky!
