Alumni Update - Mindy Cail

Mindy Cail

You might know Dr. Melinda Cail ('96) as Dr. Mindy on the radio, a 405 Top Doctor nominee, or as a top 50 nominee for The Journal Record 2019 Woman of the Year, but you definitely won’t find her seeing patients in a white coat. Her mission is health care for the whole person, and through her influence in the media, she provides practical guidance around proactive health management delivered with humor and whimsy!

Mindy’s path towards medicine was strongly influenced by her father. He recognized her God-given gifts and encouraged her to become a physician. So, after completing a Biology degree at Oklahoma Christian University, she attended the University of Oklahoma Medical School. Prior to her current practice, Mindy worked for two different hospital systems, but after fourteen years, she embarked on a new professional adventure within a healthcare delivery model called Direct Primary Care.

Mindy views her expertise in healthcare as an opportunity to address the comprehensive needs of her patients by treating the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of their lives. “When you are doing what God designed you to do, you approach each day with gratitude, love, and a healthy dose of leopard print because of the opportunity you have to serve others. Also, I am a firm believer in humor and whimsy and see the power that they serve in ministering to my patients.” You can read more about Dr. Mindy’s practice here.
