Alumni Update - Michael Alan DeWeese Sr.

Michael Alan DeWeese Sr. ('66) passed away on March 25, 2025.

Michael was a distinguished graduate of Oklahoma Christian College, where he earned his bachelor's degree and cultivated a lifelong love for learning and spiritual growth. Following his education, he devoted 30 years of his life to the Church of Christ as a beloved clergy member. His unwavering dedication to his faith and his congregation earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. Michael was also a proud veteran, having served his country in the U.S. Air Force with honor and distinction.

His daughter, Gloria DeWeese, stated "Despite losing his brother in 2023, losing short-term memories due to Alzheimer's, and being diagnosed with cancer and given 6 months, his humor and faith and positive outlook kept him smiling and joking around to the end. I will miss him so very much. To quote Dolly Parton, ‘the man is something special and I'm proud that he’s my dad’.
