Alumni Update - Katelyn Jackson Ruston
Katelyn (Jackson '14) Ruston completed her Master's Degree in education with the Memphis Teacher Residency (MTR) program. She then went on to teach middle school math at a Title I school in Memphis, Tennessee for five years. Ruston then applied to law school. She attended the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, served as the Editor in Chief for the Memphis Law Review, and earned her Juris Doctorate degree in May of 2022. She then clerked for the Honorable Thomas L. Parker in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. Her clerkship with Judge Parker will end in August of 2023. From there she will spend another year clerking for the Honorable Andre B. Mathis in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. After he second clerkship, she will join the commercial litigation team at Butler Snow, LLP's Memphis-based office in September of 2024.
