Alumni Update - Jackson Higginbottom

Jackson Higginbottom

Jackson Higginbottom, MPH ('18) is now president of Manos Juntas, a free Oklahoma City medical clinic where his passion for public health was initially ignited. After the clinic's founder, Dr. Boyd Shook, passed away in December, Higginbottom has been running the clinic and trying to find the funding to save it. Higginbottom also works full time in New Haven, CT as a program administrator for the Community Alliance for Research & Engagement (CARE) at the Yale School of Public Health that seeks solutions to health inequities through community-based research. Higginbottom began volunteering at Manos Juntas in 2014 as a pre-med biology student at OC. You can read more about Higginbottom and the Manos Juntas clinic here. If you want to help support the clinic, financially or otherwise, you can visit this website or contact Higginbottom for more information.

Outstanding work, Jackson! We are so proud of you and all of your hard work to serve so many in the Oklahoma City community and beyond.
