Alumni Update - Allison Garrett

Allison Garrett ('84) was named the ninth chancellor of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education today by the Oklahoma State Regents. Dr. Garrett received her bachelor’s degree in English from Oklahoma Christian University, a juris doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law and a master of laws in securities regulation from Georgetown University.

Dr. Garrett became the 17th president of Emporia State University in 2016 after serving for almost four years as executive vice president at Abilene Christian University, four years as the senior vice president for academic affairs at Oklahoma Christian University and three years as an associate professor of law at Faulkner University.
