As an International Student, You Can Learn English with Oklahoma Christian University's ESL Courses
If you are a citizen of the United States, please visit our admissions page.
Oklahoma Christian University (OC) provides English as a Second Language (ESL) support courses for international students who do not meet OC’s admission requirements for English proficiency and wish to study English in the USA. If you have not studied in a country where English is the Primary language of instruction, you must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing Services (IELTS) and arrange for the testing agency to send the test results to Oklahoma Christian University. After achieving a minimum TOEFL score, you may continue to your desired course of study, whether a bachelor’s or master’s degree!
The required TOEFL score is 500 PBT (61 IBT) and IELTS score is 6.0. If you score below 500, you may enroll in the University's ESL classes. A TOEFL or IELTS score is required for enrollment in the fall or spring ESL classes. ESL classes consist of a core curriculum of reading, writing, oral communication and TOEFL preparation. If you score between 460-499 after successfully completing at least a semester of University ESL support courses, you may apply for provisional admittance to the University.
