The McBroom Scholarship
The McBroom Scholarship endowment is to be awarded to full-time students of Oklahoma Christian University just completing their junior year of study in one of the following fields: (1) students studying in the field of math or computer science, (2) or students majoring in the field of science. Student recipients are to be selected by the math and computer science or science faculty and announced on Honors Day. The award criteria should be based upon academic performance, potential for future service, character, leadership and involvement.
The Hudkins Family Scholarship
The Hudkins Family Scholarship is awarded to full time students pursuing an engineering degree or a degree related to the medical field. This scholarship is designed to provide long-term scholarship support for worthy students of Oklahoma Christian University. Awards will be made each year by the scholarship committee whose chair is the Oklahoma Christian University Director for Financial Services, or his or her designee. Student recipients must maintain good academic standing, as defined in the Oklahoma Christian University Academic Catalogue, in order to continue receiving funds from this scholarship endowment.
The Erin Rowlett Scholarship
The Erin Rowlett Scholarship is awarded to one or more full-time students. It is shared between the Chemistry & Physics Department and the Biology Department. Recipients may receive the scholarship in subsequent years. Students in good standing who are majoring in a science related field are eligible. Recipients must demonstrate good character. Preferences will be given to qualified applicants who have demonstrable financial need. This scholarship is designed to provide long-term scholarship support for worthy students of Oklahoma Christian University. Awards will be made each year by the scholarship committee whose chair is the Oklahoma Christian University Director for Financial Services, or his or her designee. Student recipients must maintain good academic standing, as defined in the Oklahoma Christian University Academic Catalogue, in order to continue receiving funds from this scholarship endowment.
The Riley Sheets Scholarship
The Riley Sheets Scholarship gives preference to international students majoring in the field of science. This scholarship is shared between the Chemistry & Physics Department and the Biology Department. It is scholarship support for worthy students of Oklahoma Christian University. Awards will be made each year by the scholarship committee whose chair is the Oklahoma Christian University Director for Financial Services, or his or her designee. Student recipients must maintain good academic standing, as defined in the Oklahoma Christian University Academic Catalogue, in order to continue receiving funds from this scholarship endowment.
The Dennis and Bonnie Young Scholarship
The Dennis and Bonnie Young Scholarship is for students in good standing who are majoring in a science-related discipline. Furthermore, preference is given to qualified students who are participating in or intend to participate in OC's drama program during the year of their award. Recipients may receive this scholarship in subsequent years. Preference is also given to financial need. This scholarship is designed to provide long-term scholarship support for worthy students of Oklahoma Christian University. Awards will be made each year by the scholarship committee whose chair is the Oklahoma Christian University Director for Financial Services, or his or her designee. Student recipients must maintain good academic standing, as defined in the Oklahoma Christian University Academic Catalogue, in order to continue receiving funds from this scholarship endowment.
The Charles and Sylvia Branch Scholarship
The Charles and Sylvia Branch Scholarship endowment is designed to provide annual financial scholarship awards to one or more full time college students at OC. Qualified recipients must be students in good academic standing majoring in either a science or English related discipline, and must also maintain a grade point average of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 equivalent scale. Preference will be given to students hailing from the San Antonio, Texas area. Further preference will be given to qualified applicants who have demonstrable financial need.
