If field trips were your favorite thing in elementary school, you will love the way OC faculty intentionally expose students to industry leaders and cutting edge companies. You will experience things like visiting the NBC-LX studios and taking on a news assignment or internships with local agencies, producers and broadcasters, and competitions where you connect with peers and professionals.

Award Winning Faculty
David Jurney, leads students through every step of the technical and creative processes for live sports, entertainment and news productions. His talent has been acknowledged with the Director’s Choice Award for Emerging Artist at the 2017 Twister Alley Film Festival, an award winning legacy that started with his father, retired Professor Dr. Larry Jurney, who won an Emmy award for his work as an Assistant Producer for the documentary Dancing Moccasins.

Many Film & Media Production and Motion Design students participate in creating the weekly student-produced newscast, Eagle Angle. This award-winning show highlights the week's weather, top news, sports and entertainment. Students gather, write and produce segments covering topics both locally and nationally, on and off campus.
