2015 HSA features new classes such as Harry Potter, Faith of the Founding Fathers, Math/CS 2; and others.

The Oklahoma Christian University Honors Summer Academy is an annual, one-week college experience hosted by OC's Honors Program to encourage the pursuit of excellence by gifted and talented students entering their sophomore through senior years of high school in fall 2015. It is held on the OC campus.   

The program accepts high school students who already have demonstrated excellence in academics seeking to develop those skills for exceptional university performance. By the end of the program, students will have developed the confidence to continue their academic trajectory of excellence, linked academics to their faith, and demonstrated the impact of experiential learning in academic and in service activity.

We believe confidence in these core skills will contribute to increased resilience and persistence necessary to achieve exceptional performance following high school graduation.

Program Description

Each participant may earn two hours of transferable university credit each week by selecting two of the following courses from the appropriate grade level. Credits are based on face-to-face instruction time as well as Blackboard/internet activity before and after the time in residence at OC. Course faculty are OC Master Teachers.

2015 Summer Courses - You choose two courses from a session for your grade in fall 2015:
         Session 1: July 12-17, 2015
         Session 2: July 19-24, 2015        


Participants must have at least an ACT of 21/SAT of 980/PSAT of 98 or be recommended by a teacher or counselor (e.g. Enrichment/Gifted-Talented teachers) for their current grade year. Participants must be ready to engage in a service project that varies each year. (Examples include working to understand the people and culture of Rwanda through the OC People to People chapter or serving in a local gardens/produce project in a local urban ministry.)


The cost for 2015 Session 1 or 2 is $500. A $100 deposit is required when you apply with complete payment due by May 15. Register with a friend and you each receive a $50 discount!
